The family

Weeknight cooks who turn into weekend hosts, the Nakashimas wanted the drama of their favorite chef's-counter restaurants at home — without tearing the house apart to get it.

We started in 3D and mapped every finish to a budget range the family was comfortable with, then rebuilt the layout around a single showpiece island cut from one book-matched slab. Refrigeration and the pantry disappeared behind flush panels, and layered lighting does the rest — so the room glows long after dinner.

What had been a dated builder-grade kitchen is now the heart of the home: bold, refined, and — they'll tell you — exactly what the renderings promised.

The design

Every finish chosen before a single cabinet was ordered.

We render the room in photorealistic 3D and build the material palette first, so the Nakashimas approved the finished kitchen before demolition started.
